AXA Australia has been providing financial services to Australians for over 140 years.
Originally founded as the National Mutual Life Association of Australasia in 1869, the company became part of the AXA group in 1995 and adopted the AXA name in 1999.
AXA Australia Services
AXA offer a range of financial services including superannuation, investment and life insurance. The personal risk insurance range provided by AXA is known as ‘Elevate’ and includes term life insurance, income protection, business expense cover, trauma and TPD insurance.
AXA are known for providing life insurance solutions to industries and occupations that some other insurers avoid. They are one of the very few Australian insurers to provide cover to underground mine workers.
The insurance products offered by AXA have won a number of recent industry awards. In 2011 AXA won the term life insurance and TPD category in the Money Magazine awards, and in 2009 and 2010 the AXA TPD policy picked up a five star rating from Canstar Cannex for outstanding value.
In 2011 AXA’s Australian and New Zealand businesses were acquired by AMP, and in time the combined business will simply by know as AMP.
